Default Pvt Grant Boylan mm & Patrick Boylan Royal west Kent - looking for service records

Grant died in 1941 in NZ he was a member of the Royal West Kent.
How do I find out more about his service?
Unable to find him on Battalion lists but it is listed on his grave as his regiment. His father was Patrick who died in 1919. I have Grants birth cert that states his father was a colour stg in royal wests based in maidstone in 1897.
Im trying to find service records of these two ancestors.

Thanks for any help you can give.
