Thread: Help Please, Lunts of Sefton Liverpool

I can find the following, which ties up with what you already know and sadly does not give his father's name:

Peter Lunt - Labourer Bachelor of Of this Parish
Mary Clegg - (X), Spinster of Of this Parish
Witness: Henry Twist; Ellen Sutton
Married by Banns by: James Hoggins

I also found an entry for Peter Lunt's death in 1835 and it gives his age as 35, which puts his birth around 1800:

There is also another couple Thomas and Ellen Lunt who lived at Litherland having children slightly later (1809/10). This looks like the same Thomas as above. I did find the couple Bryan and Mary; they lived first at Orrell and, later, Ford so I think you're right to be cautious about including them as your ancestors.
