I am researching Greasley family tree in Stoke on Trent , but unfortunately every member of the family is named in census information as Baker ( surname ) from 1851 to 1901 , whereas on wedding certificates and most of the death certificates they are shown as Greasley . I have some documentation which even shows Greasley sometimes known as Baker . This problem begins with John Amos Greasley and his wife Fanny Willey , both born in Leicestershire after their move to Staffordshire . Any thoughts would be appreciated .
