Exclamation William Crockett and Mary Smith.

Sorry for the last two posts, can't get the computer to cooperate. I am looking for a marriage certificate for William Crockett and Mary Smith. I have the birth certificate of their son, William Crockett, who was born on April 28,1838, St. Stephens in the registration district of St. Albans in the county of Hertford. The residence of the mother at this time was also listed as St. Stephens. I don't know if William was an only child, and they married prior to his birth, or if there are other siblings, and they married years earlier. I have written to the Hertford County Council Registrar's Office at St.Albans, also to The Parish of St. Stephens-The Gatehouse in St. Albans, and to Hertford Archives and Local Studies- County Hall in Hertford. All three replied with no help, and the last one referred us to the first one again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Leopold

The 3 children on the 1841 census are Lodgers in 1851....I cannot find Mary under SMITH/FIELD/CROCKETT there is this......

    Name:Mary Crockett
    Year of Registration:1848
    Quarter of Registration:Jan-Feb-Mar
    District:St AlbansCounty:Hertfordshire
    Volume:6
    Page:393

    oreder gro.co.uk cost £9.25 click

You may need to considering revising your thoughts on the family, not sure what you have done on the SMITH's that have Jos & William as lodgers, but I would suspect they are all related possible as cousins and are part of Mary's birth family and need looking at, John is with a family named LARFORD which leads me to the question of Mary.....

Not sure where you are located, did you know you can order the Parish Records to view at your local LDS centre? click here, you will also see the marriage

To all who helped with this request, a very large thank you. I would have searched for a long time to find this information. Sometimes one only needs a little hand to get themselves out of a large hole. Thank you again, Leopold
