    Question Marriage look up please

    I am new to the site and this is my first post, I amm at a brick wall with these ancestors due to
    1- they are Irish; 2 with the accent from the various counties,the name spelling changes constantly.
    3 they are a big family with many branches, 4 same first names handed down in each family, 5 they all settled in the Liverpool area,,,sooooo

    I am seeking a marriage of Robert Hedefin to Mary Bell 25Dec/1831 St James Church of England,
    Liverpool. Robert's father was James a weaver and Robert (b)Ireland.I found 2 children only,Robert
    Jr baptised 29June/1836 Manchester Cathedral, Jane (b) 16Dec/1838, I feel there would be more
    children born between 1831 & 1836.????
    Also seeking info on Mary Bell, where born,date,parents names,possible William as father,,found a
    Mary Hedefin in the 'Workhouse' in 1840 with one child,and Mary died of fever there,,,Where was
    husband Robert and other children and how did Mary end up in the Workhouse,,????

    If anyone can help fill in the blanks on this I will be very grateful,,find it's hard to sort out the UK
    records from over the 'pond' here,,,

    I found a marriage cert on a well known site;

    6 th Dec 1842 looks like Stallery Chapel, Edmund Street, Liverpool, (Catholic Church)
    Robert Hedafin Widower occ Shoemaker Bent Street, father James Hedafin Weaver
    Elizabeth Mooney Spinster occ ---- Bent Street Father William Shoemaker
    wit : Philip and Mary Ann Mooney.

    From same source it would appear they went to New York in 1849 and had the following children:
    Jane Hedefin 1843 – ; Robert Hedefin 1847 – 1911; Elizabeth Hedefin 1850 – 1855; Nancy "Annie" Hedefin 1852 – 1926; Elizabeth Hedefin 1854 – William P Hedefin;

    It states all born in Ireland !!

    Could only find one Birth:
    England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
    Name: Jane Hedepin Year of Registration: 1839
    Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
    District: Liverpool (1837-1934) County: Lancashire
    Volume: 20 Page: 377

    So perhaps the family returned to Ireland prior to leaving for USA

    The marriage is listed on Lancashire online Parish Chest you may find other family listed on the same site. lan-opc.org information may also be on familysearch.org.uk

    Look at this site for the birth, marriage,death registrations familysearch.org

    You may find the attestation papers at NatonalArchives.gov.uk, a Paygo site as others have found the attestation papers can contain details of birth/place/marriage/children births/postings etc
