Thread: Can anyone lookup up William and Mary Gibbons for me in 1841/51? Thanks!

i searched the nettlebed 1841 census and cant find william and mary gibbons.

Thanks so much for looking Welshlady. Most of the Phillips above are my relations. How strange that William Gibbons and Mary vanish. I'm wondering now if I have looked for them before and not found them? Anyway, I really appreciate your time.

I think that William was born in Reading, Berkshire. I can find 2 possibilities who were born in Berkshire at about the right time:

Household GIBBONS, William 1807 34 M Cookham Berkshire
Household GIBBONS, William 1811 30 M Windsor Union Berkshire

Cookham isn't that far from Nettlebed, so I wonder if that is him?

Thanks very much for looking those up. I have checked the marriage in Nettlebed. It is definitely November 27th 1834. William Gibbons from St Giles in Reading, Berkshire. Mary Phillips of the parish.
The 2 records above don't really seem to fit do they? Most strange!
I suppose that just because William Gibbons is from St Giles doesn't mean that he was born there of course.
