Thread: missing christenings

missing christenings of 3rd & 4th great grandmothers
although I find their marriages in the Colchester CofE, I haven't succeeded yet in finding their christenings which might be nonconformist, I don't know.

3x great grandmother Hannah Smith b. 12 Dec 1785 children's names were Joseph Aubrey, Maria Ann, William H., John, Hannah Lydia, James, and Josiah A.

4x great grandmother Elizabeth Richards b. 1758+-2 years children's names were William, James, Joseph, Elizabeth, Hezekiah Richards, Mary Richards, Ann, John Wainwright, Hannah, Thomas, Maria.

since no child bears Elizabeth's f-i-l's name, it is possible that her father's name is also not among these, but there is hope in Hezekiah and Mary being names of relations.

I've already traced the Hezekiah Richards of Colchester family down from Hezekiah Richards b. 1791 in Lawford, though I have not succeeded in accessing Lawford records, only those from his removal to Colchester. no, I have not found removal papers, just found he moved to Colchester and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church there. if anyone has access to Lawford church records I'm told he was christened there on 13 Oct 1791, the son of Hezekiah Richards and Ann Harris. I'd like to see this record.
