Hi
On the 1861 census, an ancestor, Louisa Hughes, birthplace is given as abt 1854 in 'Lower Teamines, Cheshire, England'. reference RG9; Piece: 2787; Folio: 73; Page: 25;
On the 1871 census (RG10; Piece: 3899; Folio: 142; Page: 15) her birthplace is given as Oldham, however she was a servant in a household there so it is possible that this was incorrect. She did have siblings born in Olham and I have found their baptisms there, but not that of Louisa, which again supports her birth being in Cheshire.
I am trying to find her in the 1881 census, and suspect she has married by then.
Does anyone know of Lower Teamines, or is this wrongly transcribed from Lower Tranmere? I'd be grateful for anyone's thoughts on this. Thank you.
