Cool Besty the wife of Thomas Eaton

I am looking for information on Besty the wife of Thomas Eaton (my great grandfather). I have just got the marriage cert. and there seems to be some confusion in maiden name it looks like Fleshburn on the cert but on the signatures it has Brakenbury which has been crossed out and Fleshburn added. There also isn't a fathers name for her. Any info would be welcome.

    Thanks Joanne

    Found on freebmd prefix www.
Marraiges BOSTON LINCOLNSHIRE june qtr 1870 vol 7a p.746
    BRACKENBURY ELIZABETH ANN
    EATON THOMAS
    FLESHBURN ELIZABETH
    HOTCHIN HENRY
No idea why she's used both names, maybe a previous marred name/ maiden name of her mother . Other researchers may find more information for you .

If this is the same one your looking for theres a Betsy Fleshbond age 3 neice living with her uncle William Butler MARINER and wife Rebecca On 1851 census Boston , LINCOLNSHIRE

    Hello Jo

Not sure where you are( geographically speaking) but how about asking the issuer to check the records, advising them that there are recorded 2 couples married at the same time etc.....a look at the HOTCHIN Henry marriage may reveal the answers!

    Hello

    Maybe this helps:

    Elizabeth Ann Hotchin
    Estimated birth year:abt 1846
    Year of Registration:1876
    Quarter of Registration:Jan-Feb-Mar
    Age at Death:30District:
    BostonCounty:LincolnshireVolume:7aPage:269

I think she is likely to be the Elizabeth Ann BRACKENBY = Henry HOTCHIN

The first child shown on the 1871 census was aged 4 the couple would only have been married 18 months....

    Rebbeca Fleshbourn
    Year of Registration:1867
    Quarter of Registration:Apr-May-JunDistrict:
    BostonCounty:Lincolnshire
    Volume:7aPage: 409

It looks like she married 1897 GOSLING Henry Edward ( FLESHBONN)
