Thread: 1891/1901 census lookup please

Hi. I am looking for Henry Burt & family on the 1891/1901 census
Henry was born about 1860.
His wife was Rose [MN Southgate] She was born about 1863 at Camberwell Surrey. They were married in 1885 at St Saviour Surrey. I am wanting to find if they had any children. Thanks

Hi Elaine. No, all I have is what is on the marriage certificate. Henry Burts` occupation is given as a carman. His father was James Burt [fishmonger]
Rose is sometimes Rosalie. She was born CAmberwell but sometimes comes up as London. I dont know where Henry was born.

Marriage is on freebmd.org.uk at 1885, and is likely to be online on a well known subsc site!

thanks Elsabels. I have the marriage certificate, but it doesnt give birth place for Henry. I only know where Rose was born because it is her line that I am following.

Hi Elsabels. Yes, That could be Henry with his father. Which census was that [no sign of Rose] Is that 1881 or 1891, maybe Rose is somewhere else or she has died?

I made my notes on the newspaper which are now in the bin crossword page, I seem to think I found a baptism for him as well ......

Thank you Elsabels. Perhaps someone migth be able to find Henry in 1891 working on him being born at Islington. I thought thay may have come out here to Aus. as some of Rose`s family did but I cant find them on any of the discs that I have. She may have died or Henry may have died and Rose remarried.

Now you mention it, Hazelnut & I had a look for you yesterday and drew a blank on the census /birth etc. which was I went to look pre 1881...
emigrating was the another option...for another day!

Have you seen a tree on A******* that has Rose linked to a Henry WOOD with children the other option on the freebmd.org.uk site
