Could someone do a look up for an eldery nieghbour Beryl, who my
son and I keep an eye on, she has asked us to look up her family tree
starting with her brother who died 1930 aprox aged 3 + - his name
Ronald Cooper in the W/Derby area L,pool. His fathers name
Edward Cooper.
Sorry if this is a bit vague but the lady is in her 80s
Any help with this family will be much appreciated.

Do you know what Ronald's Mum's first name and surname was? There are a few births but can't pinpoint him without a bit more info. Also the name of any other siblings (none living only).

And another thing....... Does your neighbour remember the names of any of her Aunts/Uncles? My Mum (at 89) is a mine of information about her cousins, aunts and uncles! It proved very useful for me in searching for her family!

Not got marriage of her parents yet (hoping to get her Grandparents names - does she remember them?).

anyway got this birth likely for her Mother:

FOSTER Phyllis H born West Derby Western Liverpool in 1908 - Ref from Lancashire BMD WDW/53/94

This would susggest Phyllis and Edward didn't marry until 1924 earliest.

The Ronald E birth and death that Elsobels has found looks potentially correct.

No luck from me so far on marriages I am afraid! I did find an Ernest Horace Cooper marrying West Derby in 1927 (about the right time I would think) no wife name though. Perhaps Edward was christened Ernest?

Also found a FOSTER/COOPER marriage for Paddington - does this ring any bells with her?

Anyway, I think to get any further, we will have to hope that your neighbour can remember her grandparents names. She may be initially confused about which were Edwards parents and Phyllis's parents but with a bit of chatting she will probably remember which were which. My Mum loves chatting about her youth. I find it invigerates her even though much of it was hard. I suspect she will also have lots of stories to tell that could be written down for her and her ancestors! These stories may also throw up information around her parentage!

I think the birth I found #8 may be correct for her Mum. This was September by the way. Does she know her Mum's birth date?
