Exclamation Catherine Emma HENRY and Guy ALEXANDER; death; England

    Hi,

I ive in Canada and hope that you can help me in locate the death and burial records for Catherine Emma HENRY and her husband, Guy ALEXANDER . I have bits and pieces of info and I'll include it here in case it will be helpful.

She was born in Belfast in 1882 to John HENRY and Roseanna (aka Rose) COSTELLO.

He father was one of the co-owners of Henry & Haig manufacturers in Belfast. Her father was married more than once and had children from each marriage. John died in 1889 and Rose and her children left Belfast for the US, Canada, Germany with Catherine settling in England. Catherine's brother, Jack (Costello John), our grandfather, settled in Canada and did his best to keep up communication with his sister but he died suddenly in 1929 and all information was lost.

She married Guy ALEXANDER on 1 Nov 1909 in Westminster District of London, England.
From their marriage record, he was a Lieutenant in the 10th Hussars and his residence was the Picadilly Hotel, St. James. Catherine's residence was 9 Adam St, Manchester Square, St. Marylebone.

Guy was born 1887 and his parents were Lt. Francis ALEXANDER [Royal Navy Retired] and Caroline TREMAYNE. Francis lived at 30 Belgrave Square in London.

Francis was the son of Caledon Dupre ALEXANDER and Caroline EWING.

A family story is that Catherine died after 1935 but I have no proof.

Guy and Catherine had no children.

    Thank you for any assistance.

    Sincerely
    Beryl

    Hi Marion,

I wondered from what source you found the information [see below] mentioned in your post?
    "Catherine E Alexander

    Kensington Cemetery Lodge
Gunnersbury Ave, Hounslow, London W3 8LF, UK".

I thought it related to her burial but after Googling for the location, all I could find was some information about property for sale, etc, nothing relating specifically to the lodge. So I hope that the source of this information may be of some help to me.

    Hello Beryl

The above are the only deaths recorded and match your request, the information you can expect on the certificate is:
    1. The registration district, sub-district, and county where the death occurred.
    2. The date and place of death.
    3. The name of the deceased (name at death only - not former names).
    4. The sex of the deceased.
    5. The age of the deceased (which may not be accurate).
    6. The deceased's occupation at time of death (if a female, sometimes her husband's name and occupation).
    7. The cause of death.
    8. The name, description and residence of the informant (the person who registered the death).
    9. The date the death was registered (a death has to be registered five days after the death of the person).
    10. The name of the Registrar.

The Informant is most often a relative of the deceased who was present at the death. However it will not say how they are related.

Presumably the deceased will be interred in the are of the death, which may be more localised than Romford / Hounslow
