Default Amelia Wright Head Help needed Please.

I have in my tree...Amelia Wright Head born 22/03/1813 in Woolwich Kent...parents William (a rope maker) and Sarah.
However I am unable to find a marriage for William and Sarah Head or what became of Amelia.

Could I ask for the help of the folks on here please, to find more details.

I would be very grateful for any help.

    Hello S

Probably not what you are looking for but thought it interesting enough to show on the site!

I found : St Mary Magdalene Woolwich
    01/08/1838
Maria Wright HEAD sp of Woolwich father William HEAD rope maker
Joseph PLANT Gunner RA s/o Joseph Sergeant 24th Regiment of Foot

Thinking this might be the Amelia?, I then looked for the baptism and found this rather interesting entry in the Parish Register

B 19/11/1820 bp 22/11/1820 Maria Wright HEAD d/o (SPURIOUS) John COLEMAN & Sarah HEAD he is desc as Mariner.......

    So Who is the father???

    Sorry couldn't find Amelia....

I have two options for you, neither of which is exactly on the money, but might be worth looking into.

    First:
    Name: William Head
    Gender: Male
    Spouse's name: Sarah Robinson
    Marriage Date: 1 Dec 1814
    Marriage Place: Andover, Hampshire, England

    Second:
    Name: William Head
    Gender: Male
    Spouse's Name: Sarah Beard
    Marriage Date: 12 Nov 1814
    Marriage Place: Brighton, Sussex, England

I'll take another look and see if there's anything else I can come up with, but those are the only marriages between a William Head and a Sarah in the right sort of timeframe I've come across so far.

Hello Elsabels, the Maria Wright Head you found for me is "mine" it was she who as you say married Joseph Plant that I also have in my tree.
Looking at the birth of Amelia,I thought she must also belong to the same family? But now I am set another task....with Maria's birth details.
Many thanks for looking and finding the details for me.

You look as if you have one mother and 2 different fathers, although Maria does state on her marriage cert her father is William......cuckolded?

Should have said the word SPURIOUS is actually written in the PR

Hello Sheila, I have just checked the Marriage Cert and it does state William Head Rope Maker down as being the Father of Maria Wright Head who married Joseph Plant..Maria and Amelia it seems were twins ...

Here are my notes on Maria and Amelia...

Maria Wright Head born 22nd March 1813 and Baptised 21st April 1813 daughter of William and Sarah... Fathers profession reads as Rope Maker at the time of Maria,s Baptism,

    And Amelia...

Amelia Wright Head born 22nd March 1813 and baptised 21st April 1813 daughter of William and Sarah father a Rope Maker...

I have re visited the pages for the baptism of Amelia, there is no indication that she was a twin! The baptism entry before relates to Charlotte WARDER the one after to Reuben WARREN
