I am trying to find ALBERT STANLEY SHORTER b.1896. Mother: Rachel Mackener, Father:George frederick shorter. 3 Brothers all died in first world war. I have medals for one of them. I would love to know if albert ever got married?, had family, if he did, who too, any info as much as possible would be lovely.

Cant find anything on Albert , found possibly his mothers death RACHEL SHORTER Age 33 Dec qtr 1895 PANCRAS vol 1b p 93 But was only looking in England . Rekon Orinoco77 reply is a good find . Well done Orinoco77.

Thought this might be worth a look

National Archives of Australia - Session has ended

It names an Albert shorter NK father Mr Shoerter in London. I can#t make out what it says about enlisting before so am not convinced it is the one we are looking at.
