Liverpool newspapers

Hi all,

I'm just helping a friend with her research. Does anyone know how to access Liverpool newspapers for around 1910-11?? Or how do we find out what crime her ancestor has committed in that time period?

Tried Liverpool Records Office who checked quarter sessions and Liverpool Assizes and Kirkdale Petty Sessions but all drawn a blank!

Anyone got any suggestions please??

I do have access to the Liverpool Mercury if you want to leave details to see if their is an article there.

Ancestry.com/ Nat. Archives have a website for british newspapers. newspapers.bl.uk

Thanks julydavies but unfortunately my subscription has expired so I can't check. I will ask my friend if she has access to Ancestry.
