Thread: William Fraser's

Hi Me again
I have had no luck in tracing William Fraser's war records, he was born around 1783-1795 Scotland and died 6 Aug 1870 aged 87 Aberchirder, Scotland. On his death certificate it is recorded he was a Chelsea Pensioner, a private in 42nd foot which I think was the Black Watch. I have found his name along with another William Fraser on the Peninsula Medal Roll 1793-1814 held at the National archives, no luck with other newly released materials there Where could I find out his personal army number? Will this speed up searches? I can not find his birth. I do know he married twice 1st to Jean McKenzie then to Janet McIntyre. Any help would be much appreciated.
William Fraser is my 4xgreat grandfather.
