I've been told that Thomas League is his father and that he was born in California but have no other information. Mary Etherton was born in Kentucky (perhaps Green County, Kentucky), and her father was William Etherton also born in Kentucky, 1790 and married a Mary Elkin who was born in 1775. His father was Moses Etherton born in 1770, in Virginia and married a Rachel Skaggs. That his father was possibly Aaren Atherton?
