Thread: James Masson. Who were his parents?

James was born Fordoun Kincardineshire about 1812. later married Barbare Taylor in Longside Aberdineshire. Can somebody please help me find his parents?

Family Search at FamilySearch.org - Search has a James Mason christened 6th September 1812 at Fordoun - Parents William Mason and Helen Kerr. Batch No C112596 refers.

Possibly an incorrect transcription?

Thanks Finbar. That is what I have. Others have Helen Caird and James Masson, which is what is on his death cert, information given by his son James. Have not been able to find a marriage for these two that would fit in. I am wondering if James jnr got his grandparents names wrong on his fathers death cert.
