Elizabeth Jane married Josiah Raybould and continued that line.
    1876 Marriage
John Bennett Snell to Harriet Mitchell Flowers (This is the first occurance of 'Bennett' in John's name and suspect it may be in memory of his Mother)
Source Citation: Place: Staveley, Derbyshire, England; Date Range: 1861 - 1887; Film Number: 1041905.
John and Harriet immigrated to New Zealand and that is where our branch began and has been completed.

    1881 Census
John Hancock living with Daughter Nellie. No sign of Jane confirms her earlier death.
The Brick Wall. What happened to Richard, the Father and Richard, the second son?
    Richard Snr
Jane remarried in 1865 but in 1861 census, while no sign of Richard's location, she is still listed as married, so if correct, Richard died between those years.
    Richard Jnr
Family mythology that the 2 Brothers John and Richard both emmigrated. John to New Zealand, which is our family and possibly Richard to Canada, which has been rumoured about, but no real evidence exists.
    Regard
    David John Snell
