Thomas Coates Farrow b 1859 Bowden Close, Co. Durham

I have not been able to find what happened to Thomas Coates Farrow (b 1859 Bowden Close, Co. Durham) after the 1911 Census, when he was a visitor to his first wife's parents in Mosborough, Yorkshire.

His 3rd marriage was to Mary Louisa Foster in 1903, & in Dec 1905 his son Thomas Coates Farrow (my maternal grandfather) was born, in the 1911 Census he is living with George & Agnes Matthews in Shildon, he is down as 'adopted son'.

I have also been unable to locate his mother (Mary Louisa Foster) after the birth of Thomas Coates Farrow (b Dec 1905).

Any help with these 'brickwalls' will be greatly appreciated.

As you will appreciate not all memebrs have access to the 1911 census, perhaps ypu could indicate Thomas's status widowed/ married, child of the marriage etc.

Yes, that is my Thomas Coates Farrow, I already have that info, sorry for not explaining that clearly enough in my first post.

My brickwall is that I can't find his death after his appearance in the 1911 Census, or what happened to his wife (Mary Louisa Foster) after the birth of their son Thomas Coates Farrow (b 14 Dec 1905 at 29 Henry St, New Shildon, Durham).

In the 1911 Census Thomas Coates Farrow b 1905 (my maternal grandfather) was down as adopted son of George & Agnes Matthews. Before 1926 adoption was very informal & usually involved relatives or friends adopting children. The only link I can find between the Farrow's & Matthews' is that they lived in New Shildon.

There are two births

born around same time. one is obviously the death i found in 1897 and one is the one alive in 1911. are you sure all three marriages belong to your thomas. could some be the other thomas' ?
