Thread: Emmelina Christina Mogg

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone can help me I have been trying to find any other details on my greatgrandmother, on her marriage certificate her name is Emmelina Christina Mogg, and she married william jackson in burnley 1891, I can find her on the 1901 census as being a launderess to john haworth's family but it says that she came from pontypridd , yet when i have tried to find her I have no joy, it's as if she just appeared from nowhere, I have asked family if they know anything about where she was born and anything about her and they all say they don't know anything even though some of them are on ancestory sites, and they have even asked questions on these sites but to no avail, so please if anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

I'm still looking for a birth record. The only one that came close was an Emily Christina Mogg in 1874 in Lancashire. Have been able to rule this out because she is on the 1891 census!

Emily Christina Mogg, born Oct/Dec quarter 1874, Fylde Reg. Dist. (Lancs.) Vol 8e Page 658 refers.

I realise there are discrepancies with the name, age, and place of birth, but these things do happen.

We must be related, The mysterious Emmelina Christina Mogg is also my great grandmother. I have had no success in tracing her before she appeared on the 1891 Census prior to her marriage on 23 May 1891. Are you trying to trace the Jackson family? If so I can help.
