Thread: Help with finding who lived at address in 1915!

Hi all, hope your all well today,

Could anyone give me any tips on how to find out who lived at an address in 1915? The address is 76 sarsfeld road, balham,wandsworth...on the 1911 census it appears as 76 sarsfeld road, balham road, wandsworth. there is a letter from a relative stating to send their war medals there, but we have no record of anyone living in Balham.

Thanx Genie, im looking now, ive found 1904, 1916 and 1919 just need that 1915 1. Thanx again :-)

Alternatively the electoral roll would say who lived there that was eligible to vote, though of course if they were war medals, the person concerned would probably be away fighting. Have you looked for war records on Ancestry?

We know who was in the army and Albert Grover, we know where he was and what the medals were, but no idea why he sent them to this address. We have a etter from him to people telling them to send the medals to Sarsfeld road, but like i said, we have no records of any of the family living in Wandsworth, and Albert and his family lived in Essex during the war.

I have emailed Wandsworth council, so see if they can give me anything.

Everyone loves a mystery to unravel though!
