    Exclamation Vera Henrietta Saffra

    MY MAJOR BRICK WALL

I have been trying to find out about my Great Aunt - namely Vera Henrietta Saffra
-what happened to her after 1911 ?

What I do know about her is :-

    1. She was born on 4th December 1891 at 2 Commercial Terrace, St Ann's Road, Tottenham. (Note Commercial terrace no longer exists).

    2. Her subsequent address is given on succeeding censuses as 166 St Ann's Road, Tottenham.
    3. She was baptised on 14th February, 1892 at St Anns Church, 2 Avenue Rd, London N15 5JH, UK.
    4. She is listed on the 1901 and 1911 censuses.
    5. She is mistakenly listed on the 1911 census as being "GOVERNESS IN FRANCE". This "GOVERNESS IN FRANCE" is then crossed out since she obviously was not at the address on the census date.
    6. Her siblings were two younger sisters who died young children and her young brother Bernard Denny Saffra (My birth father).
    7. Her parents were George Saffra (German) and Lilian Smith.
    8. In her father's will of 1922, she is not mentioned, although her brother and step siblings are mentioned.

So. What happend to her between 1911 and 1922 ?

    Thank you for any help.

    Point 5 GOVERNESS IN FRANCE
Are you say she was a goveness in France and in France at the time of the census ?
She may have change her surname if still in France at the start of WW1. She may have married a frenchman.
This could perhaps have upset her father and he dis-owned her. Did you find her after 1922 ?
