Lionel Copley Born abt 1799

Hi Jon

What a great idea.

My brick wall is my 3 times great grandfather Lionel Copley.
From the census I have deduced he was born around 1799.
In 1827 he married Mary Derry by Lic where he stated he was an Inn keeper. Batchelor of Burton on Trent.
They married in Shenstone where Mary was born.
Family bible says they married on 27.12.1827.
In 1841 he was a clerk, born in the county, living in Harbourne, hamlet of Smethick, with wife Mary and five children.
Ann, aged 12: Elizabeth, aged 10: Thomas, aged 8: Henry, aged 7: John, my gg grandfather, aged 4: Caroline had died in Feb aged 6weeks.
I have him in the 1851 census where he says he was born in Staffordshire, Bruntwood????
Again in 1861 census where he says he was born in Staffordshire but I can't make out the place.
He died in 1862. I have his certificate and it is mentioned in the family bible. He was a clerk at ironworks on death cert.

My problem?
Where was he born?
Who were his parents?
Did he have siblings?

Hopefully this will qualify for help because I am stumped so far.

Hi Carol, I know Staffordshire quiet well and would imagine he was born in Burntwood Staffs. Burntwood is only about 2 miles from Shenstone, where all my ancestors lived.
For some reason I cannot find him on the 1851 census so i cannot take a look and see.

1861 Lionel was born in Stonnall which is about 3/4 miles from Shenstone, mary's home. Both are in Staffordshire. will now look to see if I can find anything else.
1851 Linual Copley born Burntwood, Staffs.
