does anyone know where i can get a very big sledge hammer for a very recent brick wall, (trying to find my grandfather who died in the 90s, but i only know his surname and the town he lived in).ive tried all the free sites but i havent got anywhere, any advice would be appreciated.

Mike first things first please. Might be better if you send me a pm but need to know firstly your parents names..This way I can try to find their marriage and then their births.. By doing this I can then try to find your Grandfathers information..Do you have a copy of your parents Marriage Cert? If so it will tell you your Grandfathers first name and his profession...

thanks for your help marion, already ive managed to narrow the list down to 4 people, possibly even 2, just got to find out which 1 had a son with my fathers name and the gates will open.

As your grandfather is deceased, I do not see a problem posting the details on the open site, we need to be careful if information posted is in respect of living persons!

i really dont know whether my father is alive or dead, however my grandfather is, its one of 4 people
Harold FARMER b 1900 died 1987
John FARMER b 1924 died 1989
Stanley Marshall FARMER b 1904 died 1991
Edgar FARMER b 1909 died 1994

as my father married my mother in 72 when she was 21, im pretty sure its gotta be 1 of the younger 2, but you never know.
