    Exclamation James Mack

My blasted stupid brick wall is my many times grandfather James Mack. He was the father to Edward Mack. Edward was born 24 Nov 1823 and was christened 10 Jul 1825 in St Leonards, Shoreditch where it was stated he was from Gun Street. James occupation was stated as Porter. When Edward married in 1849 his father James was deceased and occupation given as Commercial Clerk.
I finally found Edward Mack on the 1841 census but alas he was an apprentice living with his "master" so no family connections found. How can I find out more about James and his wife Sarah.
Edward remained in this area in London until the late 1860's. Any help would be gratefully appreciated this has been my nightmare of a brick wall for years.
    thanks Ange
