Any chance any one can help me as i seem to have hit a brick wall i am trying to trace the scott family Francis and Mary scott there children were Mathew---- Agnes-- Thomas-- William-- Francis-- Mary Jane-- David-- John David was my great grandfather and then there was Isabella.Most of the children were born in North Ormsby nr Middlesborough. There parents were born in dumfrieshire

Do you have dates and locations for the Scott family?
I've found them on the 1881 Census, Sheila.
What is it you wish to know and find out?
Yes i do have some information Francis Scott father was born in Canoby Dumfreishire in25/91819 married to Mary no maiden name born 25/4/1829they were married in31/12/1850 no place known. The children Mathew born 5/10/1851 in Carsile Agnes was born1/5/1854 Thomas born 12/4/1857 William born 20/11/1859 Francis born 4/11/1862 Mary Jane born 18/11/1864 David born 15/9/1869 John David 15/9/1869 he was my grandfather William dad. Isabella was born 16/6/1872 The other children were born in North Ormsby .Mary the wife was born in Annan Be grateful for any help
I would like any informatin mainly the older yrs or the scottish side how di i go about finding out about marrage in the family i know mathew lost his wife early
If you obtain a birth certificate for one of the Scott children, that should clear the mother's maiden name up at least.
These would appear to be the details of your grandfather's birth registration:-
