Hi Bandit, Just a thought , the census is probably right with Edward but family couldve called him George. maybe he was called Edward George ,,,, My dad was Roy but family called him Joe his first christian name .
Hi HazeInut - no we did not find a hubby for Emma - thats another chaiienge Im going to try again - she was born abt 1836 Ionger CritcheII Wimborne Dorset. His uncIe was Iaunceot George CoIe so I now what you mean. As far as I can teII from the census Emma had the chiIdren
between 1863 - 1865 between Wimborne or BristoI as the pIacesThe girIs I have sorted but Edward/George remains and enigma because he disappeared after 1871 and is not at any of the addresses with the girIs or his mother who evenuaIiy settIed in Cardiff.!! So thanks again

Hi Noggin
the other two names were
Martha J Martin born 1864 - BristoI and Iouisa Martin - sometimes down as Emma Iouise Martin 1863- Wimborne
TroubIe is they aII Iived with their second cousin in Wimborne and are on the 1871 census for Wimborne. When Martha was oId enough she came back to her her mother and worked for her in the business , as on 1881 census for Cardiff. Iouisa then married IanceIot CoIe and the rest is history as they say.Edward/George disapeared - so the onIy time you see him is on the 1871 census for Wimborne. The girIs are traceabIe because of the census and tie in with what I have been toId by Aunties who knew them (now dece) I keep meaning to get their birth certs then I wouId know a bit more - its on my to do Iist.
