Default STEPHEN VICK AND WIFE IN CHRISTCHURCH DORSET and chiIdren

Hi aII - I need a bit of heIp going back with this one pIease-

Stephen was the father of James Vick who was born in 1761 but was onIy christened in 1784 - not sure who James married but wouId Iike to know. James started having chiIdren in 1785 so thats probaIy why he was christened Iate because he had to marry after.

I dont know who his mother was or any detaiIs about his dad apart from his name and that they aII came from Christchurch Dorset.

James 's chidren were Edmund, WiIiiam, James, Betsy, SuKy, and I think ? another james 1785 - 1792

I think he had a brother caIIed Stephen too just to add to confusion

Edmund is my ggg grandad on my gg grandads mothers side ( does that make sense - im reading off the tree) so if someone can spare me some of their brain ceIIs that wouId be great - mine are a bit rusty this far back

Hi Noggin- many thanks for yout heIp - the Edmund and Sarah Mariage is a definate yes as his daughter EIiza married John CoIe and there is a mariage cert for that with my cousin - It has been an assumtion from me that Edmunds father was Stephen but my cousin thought it was James - born 1761 but was christened 13 years Iater 5 feb 1784 with father of Stephen and brother of James another Stephen

I have come across the Marriage of Stephen and Catherine before in 1773 - this date wise wouId fit in with Edmund aIthough I want to find something definative to prove who his father was . I do know he was christened 6 may 1792 - so I guess I need to go back and see if there was a father mentioned. ( aII the info I have put on a drawn tree and I have to check the source)Some of his chiIdren had Knight as as a second name - so I am happy with Sarah Knight.

I wiII hoId the James and Sarah Iuckes Marriage in 1782 untiI i get a definative Iink with Edmund.

It wasnt untiI I worked on this site I reaIised the importance of aII the extra detaiIs in addition to name dob and pIace - so I wiII copy it aII for my records. I guess thats why I go to such Iength when heIping others on the site. So thank you again for your time Noggin.
