My GGreat Grandfather James Challinor 53 was shown on the 1871 census with his wife Ann 48 to br living in Beeston Cheshire. Several of his ancestors me included have tried without success to find a marriage for James and Ann nee Craven. We do have written proof that craven was Ann's maiden name ie birth certificate of daughter Catherine and also a grave of a child Jessie Craven Challinor. my relation being Hugh Challinor. There were 11 children the first being Henry b1853 so we have looked for a marriage 1850-1860 with no success in and around Cheshire. Very greatfull for any help offered as we have racked all our brains on this one. We did find Ann Sinker and Ann Shaw married to a James but it's the wrong James. Thanking you in anticipation Chris Watters. (Also John Hart, Rod Challoner,Denis Woods)
