Ernest Woodward from Hull

I am trying to track down the black sheep side of the family line that noone seems to know about or want to talk about!. I am trying to track down an Ernest woodward from hull datewise for birth probably 1870-90's - Believe he married someone called Maud. I think the family then probably moved to London (Middlesex?) I know they had a son called Peter Woodward who died in Dover when I was a Child in the 1970's. Peter married Hettie Berry.

Hope that is something for someone to hang something on?

Peters birth? Mothers maiden name Payne

could well be - hull was a guess? and maud was a guess too - only real almost certain info I had was ernest - This looks like a fit

BIRTH & DEATH

Peter Ernest WOODWARD died q1 1981 Dover 16 1321 born 17/01/1929 (q1 1929),

agrees with your personal recall

In the GRO indices for the Jan - March 1929 period there are the following recorded

1) Peter WODWARD mother maiden name TARR Southampton 2c 14

2) Peter E WOODWARD mother maiden name TIMMINS Guildford 2a 160

Peter Ernest WODWARD b 28/09/1929 recorded Coventry as above #4 died May 1991 Coventry

This information at #4 which now looks speculative!

Marriage
The marriage in 1947 appears to be the correct one for Peter died Dover

To progress this you need to purchase either the Death cert or the Marriage certificate, if you are sure that Peter married Hettie BERRY I would go for that, you should then get details of who Peter's father was and what his employment was

Note.. Not Ernest..

I have also found a few marriages for Spouse being Timmins with husband being Woodward but given name not Ernest...

In order to progress with this one Grungedav I do agree with Elsabels about the purchase of the Marriage or Death Certificate.
