Well it has been quite some time since I have posted here , and I thought it may be a good time to let people know od the progress i have made, and to try to get some help with what I am missing.

I was looking ( and still am ) for info on my grandfather JAMES SLATER CHADDERTON , to date I have tracked down a gentlemen , who would have been James nephew , sadly he knows nothing of James, though he does remember the other family memebers, and he was able to send me pictures of my great grandfather and my great aunt , he also sent pictures of my great grandparents graves.

The latest info we found of James was of his return to canada in 1923 , he listed my grandmother GRACE WHALLEY CHADDERTON as his next of kin , but also listed himself as single , so i am guessing that they were separted , as 1923 was 4 yrs before my grandmother and father return to Canada , his destination was to the Greenwood family, who are listed as my dads godparents on his baptismal certificate. This is were my info ends , I have no idea of what became of him after he arrived in Canada. I do have one additional piece of info........when my grandmother and father returned in 1927, the destination was listed as........to husband James Chadderton, 1859 Jacques Hertel Street, Montreal, however after searching our Lovell Directory for them , I was unable to find any such address , sadly my grandmother passed away when I was 3 and my father when I was 7 , and it seems that no one who was around had any info on James. I may be at a dead end here, but my gut feeling is that there is more to be found out. If anyone could be of help, it would be greatly appreciated.maybe someone can suggest where I should look next,
