Thread: Help finding Wheeler family in india

Hello am wondering if someone could help me find the birth of my grandfather and also the birth and death of my aunt mary. Edgar Lansdowne D'Erf Wheeler married Edith Grace Bell Bangalore, Madras, India 26 Dec 1901 His fathers name was Richard Charles Wheeler There is no age for my grandfather. Mary was a fourth sister who apparently was a nurse. She commited suicide as she was diagnosed with cancer unfortunately there was a mix up and she was given the wrong results. I have found the other sisters and two uncles i never knew i had in the madras area but can find no trace of mary at all. I would so appreciate any help as it has taken me 4 years to get this far. Hello I did look at that one but on my mum and dad's wedding certificate it shows edgar as a witness.

Is this family related to Percy Charles Edward d'erf WHEELER, I can pick up various bits of info about him?

Kari I don't know how far back you have gone with your family or what information you have, but I have Edgar's dad, Richard Charles listed as being a "Merchant" - don't want to duplicate your research but might help other's to help you - Edgar's sibling's are born in Vepery, Madras in the 1860s following his father's marriage in 1859.

First i want to thank everyone for you help. This means so much to me as my mum passed two weeks ago and i had promised her i would try to do this. I know that percy derf wheeler was born in mauritas and that he and both his brothers went to live with an aunt in india. I do not know if there is a link as i have only managed to find my dad, his brothers and sisters today. I have no info on edgars dad richard but thank you for that I now have something to go on. Fibis was where i found finaly my dad but i will check out those other sites thank you so much for that also.
