Hi, trying to find any information on my GGF, Henry Bryce, born abt 1813, Derry (or Donegal?). He married Catherine Lynch, had four children, Mary(b abt 1847), James (b abt 1850), Rose Ann born abt 1853), William (b abt 1857). The family emigrated to Greenock, Scotland sometime in the late 1850's or 60's. Various spellings of surnames have been used, eg Briceland, Brysland, Bresland, etc.

I have been able to find out a fair bit of info re the family's time in Scotland, but nothing certain re Ireland. For example, there is really nothing certain for Henry Bryce or Catherine Lynch on the dates and places of their births, marriage, the births of their children, or exactly when they left Ireland. Family legend has them coming from Derry, but from the border area with Donegal. This region may have been part of Derry at that time.

Any help would be most appreciated.
