Im trying to trace any photos or documents belonging to the searle family of walton thames surrey. My grandmother was gladys searle and her father was joseph searle born 1852 he married susan smith and they had seven children according to the 1901 census. They lived at many locations in walton. But russell road walton on thames was were my great grandad died, my grandmother was born and most of the family lived. If anyone can help me in my search i would be eternaly grateful.

this is the searle family i am trying to trace i have census records im trying to find burials and photographs if possible. thanx for all replies.
Family photos are usually somewhere within the family so you need to check any known family members, put your tree online and look for family names in other trees - ie search for living relatives. I have just found a lovely photo of my great grandfather through a third cousin.
Local records offices are another source - they may for example have a photo of the street where the family lived. It needs a bit of patience but local newspapers are worth searching - think about events in the family's lives which could have been recorded - weddings, obituaries, golden weddings etc. Even if you don't find anything directly relevant trawling through old newspapers can be fascinating!

I googled Walton on Thames Cemetry , the first site that came up was :
gravestonephotos.com a quick look indicated there were Searl grave stones!
In the 1970/1980's most Family History Societies undertook a project of transcribing Monumental Inscriptions ( MI's) have a
look at the local site wsfhs.org (prefix www.)
