William Samuel Farrance was born on 26 Nov 1867 in Islington. His parents were Samuel Farrance and Hannah Dando. I have found his batism in the LMA, and have a copy of his birth cert. I have traced him through 1871, 1881, 1891 census. He then disappears.
There is a marriage in 1898 of a Willaiam S Farrance to Sarah Fish in Woolwich. But I have this certificate but the middle name is Sidney, and fathers name is wrong.
Any suggestions or help much appreciated.

I am wondering if WiIIiam dropped his first name and used SamueI - because I couidnt find him - I even tried variations on the surname -- unIess he went in th services or abroad - the search goes on.

I have a potential Wm Farrance in the 1891 census (Source Citation: Class: RG12; Piece: 167; Folio 121; Page 56; GSU roll: 6095277.) who is a boarder in Islington. Thats the last sighting of him i have. Looking at 1911, Samuel & Hannah had 11 children, of which 5 died before 1911. I need to work through these to see if Willaim is one of them, although I have not found a death record yet!!
