Thread: Henry James Tindall 1815

Henry was born 1815 Westminster.In 1841 he was in Shoreditch as a beer retailer with Ann(no marriage?) and daughter Elizabeth.In 1851 he was in St George Hanover Sq as beer retailer and with Ann and Elizabeth.In 1861 he was in Atherstone Warwickshire as a visitor.In 1862 he was in Bankruptcy Court and that is the last I can find of him.Nothing shows in 1871/81/91.No deaths nor could I find him taking a boat trip.Ann is a puzzle since Elizabeth's birth does not seem to be registered.

Hi jcoltee,

Iv been searching the last couple of hrs and your right its really hard to find anything- the only thing I have found and it might be the wrong person so you'd need to double check is- a Henry Tynsdale (spelt differently though) who was tried at the old bailey in surrey in 1863 5th january-
for robbery and was imprisoned for 4/5yrs....I'll keep looking ..

Iv just found an entry for a Henry Tindale(spelt diff again) DOB-1814-DO Death
1866 aged 52yrs. Jan-Feb-Mar quarter in Easington Durham.

The age is right and it would not be the first time Tindall has been spelt differently.I will check him out.

Hi Ed, The first message I sent you should have been Tyndale without the S not Tynsdale as I wrote.

Freebmd shows the death as Tindall.Checked 1861 census and there is a Henry Tindall born 1815 Cumberland and living Durham St Giles.He does not show in 1871 so the death could very well be his which means I am still looking for mine.

The birth reg could be late but better than never.
I am obviously missing something in the possible death.When I check freebmd there is no listing for an Ann Tyndall/Tindall Mar 1863.Missed or ?

I cannot find in Freebmd, went to record pilot and picked up there, as a long shot, then the non conformist records on Thegenealogist.....
