Alexander Hamilton age 30 born Walker, Northumberland
Martha Jane age 30 born Deptford, Kent
Children
Doris age 8 born Walker, Northumberland

Alexander married Martha Jane Cooper (i think was her surname) dec qtr 1902 Tynemouth, would like to go further back if possible any help in census would be greatly appreciated or any other information that can be given. With many thanks.

And here is the same family in 1881-It does say Alexander and not Alexandra. The birth year is slightly out-1878 here.

And here again in 1901. I realise that his father is down as Thomas A Hamilton, but I wonder whether his middle name was Alexander, and he was using that sometimes? The 1st son was called Thomas, so it is possible.

The only possiblity for Martha (Junior) I could find on the 1891 census is this. She is in an Industrial School.

I'm unable to find either of the Marthas on the 1901 census. I think the only way of finding out Martha junior's father's name would be to order either her marriage certificate or birth certificate.
