Thread: Magdaline Whitehead 1727

The Lady Marion needs some help please if possible.

I have found a Baptism for Magdaline Whitehead 1727 International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Female Christening: 18 JUN 1727 Innerwick, East Lothian, Scotland..

She was the daughter of James Whitehead and Marion Robertson..

James and Marion had other children..David Baptised 1731..Marion Baptised 1725..Residence is the same as for Magdaline Innerwick, East Lothian, Scotland.. My Whiteheads came from Falkirk so I am wondering how far Innerwick, East Lothian, is from Falkirk?



There are many Magdaline's to be found on Family Search but only two with the surname of Whitehead so I am thinking there could be a connection?


I can't find a marriage for Magdaline born 1727 or any other siblings than stated above so could there have been more? I would greatly appreciate any help with this search.

Many thanks Emeltee. This gives me some indication on how far the distance. Not impossible as you say. I am thinking this Magdaline must be related as there are only the two to be found. The other born Falkirk 1800 the daughter of John Whitehead and Margaret Reid.

Many thanks for taking the time out to help. I note James was also born 1725 the 2nd one that is. Marion was also Baptised the same year. Can you see any marriages please Starlight? I might have found a brother for James the husband of Marion,David Whitehead who married Elspith Porteous. David and Elspith had a son John Whitehead Baptised 24th November 1734..I really believe these Whiteheads are mine but its linking them which is a hard task. The names Magdaline and David are names my Gt Gt Grandparents gave their children..

Many thanks Starlight. I think the above were all siblings of Magdaline born 1727. One of the above named either David or John must have been connected to John Whitehead my 3 x Gt Grandfather. I,m picking it was David but its only a gut feeling. I don't have a birth year for 3 x Gt Grandfather but I would think about 1780. I will pass this info through to Lincs Lady as well and see if she can make anything of it..What a real task this is for me.
