Thread: Rus Family

Hi to all. I could really do with some help on trying to Trace my dads father Otto Gerrard Rus b1900 Edgbaston Birmingham.I have his birth cert. His parents were Lars Johannes Rus&Jane Anderson.
Otto was apparently my dads biological father who he never met.
I have found army records for him from 1917. He went to live in wakefield sometime around before 1911 census, as it records that his mother died sometime shortly after his birth, although I can find nothing on this either.
This is were the trail dissapears.
In the bastardy registers he is recorded in 1934 as Otto Gerrard Rus-in 1935 he is calling himself James Reece???

What I need is gores or kellys directory look ups for years between 1931 onwards.
I cannot find eithr a marriage or death for him. So any help would be great.

Thanks for your help I was all this time looking for RUS (with .. over the U) I suppose if it is written that way it can be mistaken for Riis . I can now make a start and have ordered his death cert. I cant wait to get it in the post now!
