Default Taylor family - Seaton Sluice, Northumberland - 1850 (ish)

Sorry to trouble you all but I am looking for my 3rd Great Grandfather whom died I think between 1849 and 1951.

My 3rd Great Grandmother is listed as a widow in the 1851 (and subsequent) census, but he fathered Children to 1849.

    The details I have are:

Spouse: Mary Taylor b. abt 1815 Seaton Sluice

    Children:

    Ann G Taylor b. 1838

    John Taylor b. 1840

George Mark Taylor b. 1841. m. Mary Ann Elder Jul 1866 (my great great grandfather)

    Mary Jane Taylor b. 1844

    Richard C Taylor b. 1849

    (all born Seaton Sluice)

I have found on Familysearch.org George Mark Taylor's marriage to Mary Anne Elder where it states George's father is named Mark, but I am not convinced, as I have also found in the 1841 Census Mary with child Ann with a spouse John.

If anyone is able to assist as to Mary's spouse / George Mark's father (my Great Great Grandfather) it would be very much appreciated.

And to make it all the easier our surname is TAYLOR (not many of us I know!)

This could be his birth reg which would have the fathers name on it:

England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
    Name: George Mark Taylor
    Year of Registration: 1841
    Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
    District: Tynemouth
    County: Northumberland
    Volume: 25
    Page: 399

This is the Marriage reg which should show his fathers name:

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915
Name: George M Taylor (married Mary A Elder)
    Year of Registration: 1866
    Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
    District: Tynemouth
    County: Northumberland
    Volume: 10b

Do you know if there is anywhere to access these online, or do you have to order them in hard copy?

    Hello

Enquire at your local record office or Local History Library....they sometimes have acess to A.........y or FMP certainly both Chetser RO and Manchester central and Stockport Library's have access by appointment! Google Hertfordshire County Record Office.....

or consider a 14 day free trial offered by most prof sites, BUT remember to cancel your credit / card details before the expiry!

    look at this site :

Using the General Register Office to research family history : Directgov - Government, citizens and rights

You can use this site to order the birth or death cert or both. If you are certain that George M Taylor (married Mary A Elder) in 1866 I would just order that cert to start with.
