    Question Help with June Campion

    Hi

I have recently found my 2nd cousins birth, June A Campion, but am having trouble finding her marriage, and i also know that she was killed in a road accident between 1950-60 and was front page news in the local paper. She was born September 1937 in Romford to parents Edward Campion and Laura May (nee Brazier). The family think that her husbands surname was Greenaway/Greenway/ Green....something. She was killed on the new Arterial road of the time in Harold wood, essex and was on a pushbike that was hit by a lorry. She had only been married for a few months.

Can anyone recommend where i can get any of this info from? I have searched Free Bmd constanly for 3 days now and think i now need help.

Any hints or tips would be great!

    On a wellknown site

    q2 1954 June A Campion Romford Essex 5a 1062

as the widower may still be alive, the first surname listed is correct

Freebmd may not be upto 1954!

    Hi BexyBraz,

What a co-incidence. I used to live near there and worked at Harold Wood Hospital for 12 years. I drove down that road twice every day. Do you live anywhere near there as The Romford Recorder and the Havering Recorder might be worth looking through. The Romfod recorder has archives on-line but I am not sure they go back far enough.

Sorry to ask, but was that the marriage date or the death?

    Thanx

    Hi

I don't live in Romford, but am seriously thinking of taking a trip for a few days to go to the archives and look at the old houses where my family lived.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Actual dates are not recorded only the quarter the event occurred and was recorded.
The marriage was in April / May/June 1954

    The death occurred June A GREEN aged 25 Jan / Feb / Mar 1955 Romford 5a 604

I have revisited the marriage entry and gave you the correct details
maybe there is a Registry or if a coroners office involved error!

    Good Hunting
