Adopted Children where do I look for them??

Hi all
How do you find the adopted children in a family, not even sure as too whether they took on the family name???
The adopting Mother and Father where-
Alexander B. Miles and Mary J. Miles (Nee Llewellyn)
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello, what time frame are you looking at?
If they were legally adopted they would have taken on the the adoptive families name, if it was more of a long term fostering arrangement they would probably keep their birth name for paperwork purposes, but might use there adoptive parents name in day to day life. People can use any name they like as long as it is not to defraud.
Parents who adopt often change children's first names, so that could put a spanner in the works too.
You could look for their marriages if you have an idea what happened to them, but that could be a costly hit and miss affair.
