Thread: Ackley..Marriage And Death

Could I ask for some help please. I have on my tree Mary Ann Ackley chr 27 Dec 1793 All Saints Loughborough, Leicestershire but I have no death or marriage for her. She was the daughter of William and Jane..In later years the Ackley family moved London way around Spitalfields and Peckham.Some of the siblings for Mary Ann were Baptised St Leonards Shoreditch and St Giles Camberwell. I am also searching for a death of Jane Ackley the Mother of Mary Ann for the same areas who was born about
1766. Would greatly appreciate some help here.

Hi Marion found on familysearch.org , the only Leicestershire marraige i could find
Mary Acle marraige to John Hall Joyce 17 aug 1830 Asley de la zouch, Leicester

Well this could be a maybe that you have found..? Asley de la zouch should read Ashby I believe..Acle could be mistranscribed and should read Ackley. I have come across a few different spellings of the surname so this find of yours might be one of my Ackley,s.

Hazelnut, been doing some searching and a John Hall Joyce married a Mary Ingle not Acle. I have looked this family up and have found some people on various ancestry sites have them in their trees..All state Mary as being Ingle with historical records attached which confirm her birth place and parents names..All look correct to me..

Wigton vol 25 page 139...Never heard of that place name but I wonder if it could possibly be an error and should should Wigston as in Wigston Magna Leicestershire? This find of yours I like the best...Must investigate..

Hi again Marion, found a marraige for William Ackley married Jane Johnson 23 nov 1792 William was a Glover age 26 batchelor and Jane spinster age 26

Yes that right Hazelnut...A marriage by Licence..I have all the info on this one..You should have seen how much the Bond money was...My Ackley's for this one..
