Thread: Old Electoral Roll - help is needed please.

I am looking for the Blows Family that resided at No 2 House Lane, Arlesey, Bedfordshire - for years we, the family believed they they lived at 48 House Lane, Arlesey, Bedfordshire, until I came across my Great Grandmother's Bible which read;

"To Gladys May Blows

With Love from Dad


Dated July 1924"

on the 1911 Census, The Blows Family were in Royston, Hertfordshire, so we, the family are interested to know how long did they live @ No 2 House Lane for, until they moved into 48 House Lane (in the same time find out how long from 1907 to ? they lived in Royston, Hertfordshire for.

Your best bet is to find someone that can visit the records office near there for you. I have one family in my tree that lived in 4 houses down the same street but some of the moves happened between censuses. All the houses were occupied by people that worked for the same company. I wonder if some of the houses were bigger and they were moved as more children were born. Or it is possible that they were moved as they were promoted. I haven't been able to work this out with mine.

Gladys May Blows was born in 1908 in Royston - the family was listed as living in 1911 at 13 queens road, royston then found this bible with the different address 13 years later , Parents names were Bertie Blows and Florence Emily Blows nee Gascoyne.
