I have an Edward Hughes born 1847 in Wales but have his parents as Edward hughes But then find another says his Father is Rice Hughes dont know his mother asa i am a novice can you help. Thanks

Do you know who he married ? Getting his marriage certificate will be the best way for you if you do. It is easy to make a mistake but a lot harder to put your tree right in the future if you find that you have been following the wrong family.

you have many other posts about hughes family members. i think you need to start from what you are certain about and then work backwards slowly getting certificates to prove the links as you go along. it is hard with common surnames such as hughes and easy to assume you are following the correct fmaily.

ps i havent forgotten about a look up for you but havent been able to go - they have temporarily moved some records whilst undergoing renovations etc
