    Cool Death register

I am trying to find the death of some one called "Dorothy W Shipton" born in 1894 in Ashmansworth, Hants. I am trying to find if she died between the 1901 census and 1911. Do I have to trawl my way through all the deaths index or is there a better way of researching deaths. I am quiet new to this.

    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I've had a look on ancestry for you and I can't seem to find anything on her, not even a birth. I think I may have found your family tree on there and from the information about her parents, I found the 1901 census return for the family. She is down as 'Doroth W Shipton'-is that correct?

Do you have her birth certificate?

    Mrsp

Her actual name is Dorothy I've tried to search the 1911 census but cant find her there, seems to have disappeared. Maybe she got married she would have only been 17 in 1911. Thats why assumed she may have died. But I am struggling with the death index. Sorry dont have her birth certificate at the moment.

I think I have sloved the problem. The date on the 1901 census was 7yrs this should read 7 months. I thought it odd when when I looked at her parents marriage reg.
