Could I ask for some help please..My Gt Grandmother and her siblings were all born Islington and I do not have their Baptisms..


Gt Grandma..Emma Selina Levitt born March Quarter 1857 Islington. Below her siblings..

John Levitt born 1855 Islington

Julia Jane Levitt born 1855 Islington

Hannah Minnie Levitt 1859 Islington

Do you think that perhaps the children born in the 1850"s were born elsewhere? I cannot find the family on the 1861 census, but on the 1871 census I have found Isaac, Minnie -age 12 and born in Pontonville, Middlesex ( not Living in England, I don't know it that is part of London) and Alfred, age 8. Isaac was born in Lincolnshire and someone has written in "(In charge of the house)" by his name. He is listed as married, but no sign of his wife or other children.

Sue, I am trying to reply but I am having trouble in doing so..

Could you please add the details for the 1871 Census for Isaac and Minnie.. I have my Gt Grandmother for 1871 with her Mother Selina and Uncle Alfred Whittlesea..The surname is mistranscribed and reads as Lovett..Its for the borough of Finsbury..My Gt Grandmother gives her profession as Sewing Mach..ist..Gt Gt Grandmother Dress Maker..Alfred Whittlesea Working Taylor. I,m trying to add some more details but I am worried all will be lost again..

Sorry Marion...

I couldn't find any others.... I have only found one out of 6 for my family born in London as well.....
