Thread: Isaac Levitt

Thank you in advance for any help I can get regarding my Gt Gt Grandfather Isaac Levitt..I have all the information on him after 1854 when he married in Islington so nothing needed there but its before that time that I need some help with please.. I know his Father was a John Levitt and his Mother was Hannah but nothing else is known.. I do not know if there were any siblings either for my Gt Gt Grandfather? As my subscription for Census checking has expired which I let run out due to computer problems I am unable to do any checking so if possible could do with some help finding him for 1841 and 51..In 1851 Isaac might have been in London as he is down on his marriage cert as Policeman but I'm not sure? Please I would greatly appreciate some help.

John Lavitt married Hannah Quick 5 oct 1818 St. Mary, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

Also found a son John LEVITT c. 31 july 1820 Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, ..father John mother Hannah

Thanks Hazelnut..I wasn't notified you had replied. Hannah Quick is ony my tree as the Mother of Isaac but I really wasn't sure? Sheila a family member of mine on AA has just sent me the info below..As I dont know the area of Lincolnshire I wonder if Fleet is far away from Long Sutton? I have just checked my inbox and still no notification informing me there had been a reply..What am I doing wrong? I also have to sign in and put my passowrd everytime although I ticked remember me when signing in.. Its me I know doing something wrong..Just in case I am not notified will check back later.

Just found william c. 13 dec 1818 and
Charles c. 15 oct 1822 all children christened Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

There is a Isaac b 1825 Fleet in the census returns, he does not appear to be your Ancestor!

Do you know when your ancestor Isaac died?

Thank you Hazlenut for the info about settings.. I hope all is correct now. Also many thanks for the Paptism of Charles. Elsabels, what makes you think the Isaac you found is not my Gt Gt Grandfather as he was born in Fleet..He died in his 50s Islington.

I though t it was n't your ancestor as he is shown as a Labourer and a housekeeper, you indicated he was a PC, you had shown the dom as 1854, I mentally calculated Minnie's dob as pre Isaac's marriage....on revisiting the census return I can now see my maths were not that good!

Presume you have all the entries on Isaac and his family from the Parish Records on ancestry...if not pm me
