Thread: George Robinson

I recently moved to a house in Willow Beach, Ontario Canada which is near Jackson's Point, Ontario, Canada and I found an old bible in my crawl space dated 1828 with a signature named George Robinson and maybe a middle name of Augusta under it ....also says Australia and I believe Bermuda. The bible was wet when I found it but has dried out and I'm not sure what to do with it. If u have any information I'd be glad to hear from you.

Do you mean 1928 as in your title or 1828 as in the post ? Are you thinking about restoring it or trying to find someone connected with the family ? The date makes a big difference if the later.

If the name and date given by Elsabels fits, I think I would seek the advice of a genealogy society or even someone that can adise you on antiques. Records offices would know people that have a lot of experience in preservation and storing of old records. They may even take an interest themselves as the name is recorded in it. How about an Aborininal museum near where you are. It all depends on the date of your first post and if anyone is interested.

If you want it to go to someone descended from him, just post and I am sure someone will take a look.
